We’re a team of passionate industry leaders, specialising in energy, sustainable architecture and home electrification. We care deeply about the planet, and we’re driven by the impact home electrification can have on climate change.

Let’s talk numbers. Operational carbon currently makes up 27% of total carbon emissions – imagine if it didn’t. We exist to make it easier for homeowners to take real climate action. By electrifying homes, we can significantly reduce our operational carbon footprint and create a sustainable future for our planet.
Meet the team.
This is Ben.
Founder & CEO
Ben’s been an electrician for nearly 20 years, and a business owner since 2012. He’s always been passionate about sustainability, design and doing things properly – which, once combined, you get Goodbye Gas.
Ben founded Goodbye Gas after a news report on gas fracking had him really examine our dependence on gas, and the long-term impacts it’s having on our environment. With his background running an electrical and solar business, he understood the barriers homeowners faced when switching to electric. It was confusing. Overwhelming. Expensive.
Now, Ben spends his days streamlining the same process – solving technical issues, guiding our amazing network of tradies and making sure every customer gets a high-quality result, without the stress.
When he’s not doing that, you’ll likely find him drinking coffee, being a dad & partner or out in the garden at home.
This is Marcella.
COO
Marcella knows a thing or two about sustainable architecture. Marchie joined Goodbye Gas as a founding member after realising the impact of switching from gas to electric, for climate change and homeowners. She brings with her a Masters degree in Architecture, studies in Sustainable Urbanism from UC Berkeley and over a decade in architectural practice – so yeah, we’re lucky to have her.
Nowadays, Marchie heads up our service coordination team, streamlines our systems and processes, and makes sure everything happens as it should, when it should. From quotes to trade coordination, sourcing appliances to researching rebates, Marchie’s in the details everyday (so you don’t have to be).
When she’s not knee-deep in sustainable solutions, you’ll find her seeking out office dogs for belly scratches, sipping afternoon espressos (like a good Italian) and convincing Ben to show up on camera for social content.
